All services uphold a foundation of anti-racism, anti-oppression, pro-justice for all. All services are inherently trauma-informed in nature and practice.
Individual Therapy
Therapy provides a safe space to learn more about yourself and deepen the relationship and connection with your mind, body, and habits. Feeling stuck, depressed, or even bored with the same cycle of issues? Looking for a place to explore your own thoughts and feelings without judgment? Let’s get to it! I have had lots of success with individual clients and supporting them in reaching and maintaining their goals. I often say individual therapy is like dating….. but dating yourself!!
I enjoy using a shadow and depth work perspective to those seeking a more cognitive and reflective experience to therapy. Visit the about tab to read more about what therapy with me may feel like.
I combine multiple approaches based off of what would best suit you, but my main modalities fall into psychodynamic, attachment, and polyvagal theory. We all can use this reflective space to support us in life and to help unweave maladaptive habits and weave new ones.
Niches and Expertise
Narcissistic Abuse Recovery
Emotional, mental, and narcissistic abuse can change us in many ways. Recognizing your experience as these forms of abuse is the powerful and brave step to take in it. I have extensive experience and education working with those who have been in these dynamics, whether with a partner, parent, family member, or anyone else who caused you pain.
This sort of recovery is very relational and personal. My professional opinion is finding a therapist you can commit to (financially and time wise) to build that safe therapy connection for the rewiring and processing this healing takes. I encourage all inquiring people to spend time interviewing me (and any other therapists) to determine if they are a good fit FOR YOU. Relational trauma is healed in relational settings, and you get to choose what those spaces look like.
Child of Immigrants
I like to think of us as the sandwich generation. Between two different generations growing up with vastly different life experiences, it can feel like we’re stuck between two ideas that don’t fit comfortably. Especially as our lineage may have faced displacement due to war and survival needs, the experience of a children of immigrants deserve the space to process, heal, and reinvent themself in an environment that GETS IT.
Whether it’s chronic depression, anxiety, people pleasing, issues finding a life partner, or setting boundaries with your parents, children of immigrant face many experiences of feeling stuck or in the middle of a tug-of-war. Therapy with me can provide a space to unpack, identify and build a nurturing relationship to those parts of us to decrease the way it impacts our daily life and relationships.
Political Mental Health
Especially as election season is upon us here in the United States, you may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, confused, and hopeless regarding the political and ethical atmosphere right now. As a social justice and systems liberation therapist, I believe therapy is a political space and it is important to consider the real impact society, our elected officials, and global events have on our own mind and body. As a Therapist of Color, I know there is close to 0% chance of our trauma and pains not being entrenched in the political world.
Often people say that we’re all “cogs in the system,” and to some degree we are. Sitting and acknowledging that can be feel deeply uncomfortable and sad. Therapy can be place to reflect on the impact on that, the privilege of it, and transforming that into a plan of action that aligns with your values in a safe and nonjudgemental space.

EMDR
Ready to rewire? Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence based trauma intervention that is often used as its own therapy. I intertwine both a mindfulness and attachment focused aspect to my services. EMDR can also be a powerful tool for any inner child work. I offer EMDR services for all clients age 10 and up. Intensive EMDR sessions are also a great option for those who have a regular therapist, yet are looking for a deeper, shorter healing experience.

Couples Therapy
The relationship we have with our partners impacts both us and our partners. And it DOES feel frustrating at times! We as humans are wired to need companionship and love. Sometimes our wiring gets faulty or goes through something and requires a tune up. Whether it’s trying to rebuild after a betrayal, learning to better communicate and connect with each other, or help making big decisions, couples therapy is the place to work on your relationship health!
I combine both a therapeutic and directive/coaching style to my work with couples. I tell my couples that I am going to teach you how to fight fairly and have healthy conflict. All our relationships look different and the people who make a relationship are different, I work collaboratively with the couple to combine the best theories for a successful experience.
-
I've supported clients through conflict following a betrayal, infidelity, grief and also work with those looking to better their communication, develop healthier living patterns when living together, and handling any in-law/family issues. I use a trauma informed approach to bring understanding and compassion to the goals and challenges experience in therapy. I also offer expertise working with interracial and/or interfaith couples who are experiencing family, cultural, belief blending as well as planning for future family life!
-
I work with couples a bit differently than individuals. In couples therapy, I integrate internal family systems, emotionally focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy modalities and trainings to help the relationship unit meet the goals and communication patterns desired.

About to make the big jump and want to get a few things squared away first? Premarital sessions with me are a structured and explorative way to explore topics (communication, family/in law involvement, family planning, boundaries, etc.) and how to go about blending your life with your partner. During the first 1-2 sessions, we all discuss the structure and topics to explore in session. From then on, each session is set to a specific topic for exploration and deeper conversations together.
I offer special insight into Muslim, South Asian, and interracial couples!
